The Services are made available for users to communicate and network with other users regarding personal causes ("Personal Causes"), and to facilitate online donations ("Donations") by individuals ("Donors") to their own and other users’ Personal Causes, and to nonprofit, charitable organizations that are exempt from federal income tax by reason of description in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended ("Charity" or "Charities"). Donations to Charities are made through the WonderWe Foundation ("Foundation") which accepts Donations via the Site or Mobile Apps, and makes grants to Charities at its sole discretion but taking into account Donor recommendations on which Charities should receive their Donations. Charities that have set up a formal relationship with WonderWe and the Foundation may also set up an account with a partner payment gateway, linking their banking information and thus getting funds more directly, cost effectively and expediently from the donor.
We believe that every user should know how we utilize the information collected from users. Please note that our Services may contain links to other websites. These linked sites may not be operated or controlled by WonderWe, and we are not responsible for the privacy practices of these or any other websites, and you access these websites entirely at your own risk. WonderWe recommends that you review the privacy practices of any other websites that you choose to visit.
Personal Information You Give Us
We may collect personal information from you in a variety of ways. Personal information is information that can be used to identify you. Personal information may include, without limitation: (a) contact information, such as your name, email address, and physical address; (b) demographic data, such as your ZIP code, age, and income; (c) financial information collected to process donations made via our Services or otherwise, such as credit card, debit card, or other payment information; (d) Mobile Device names or images, and (e) other information collected during the account registration process, including your user name(s) and password(s). If you communicate with us by email or otherwise, complete online forms, or otherwise interact with or use the features included in our Services, we may collect and store any information you provide in such communications. We may also collect information obtained from the Facebook or other social media accounts you use to login to the Site or a Mobile App, such as your public profile (name, profile picture, age range, gender, language, country and other public information), friend list, email address, and relationships. We may use this information to help you complete your profile, to help you log into the site, to help suggest friends, campaigns, organizations and other opportunities and to customize your experiences with our Services.
Information We Collect Automatically
Whenever you interact with our Services (whether via a browser, an application, or otherwise), we automatically receive and record information from your browser, Mobile App, or Mobile Device. Other information collected automatically may include your IP address, location details, the type of browser, application or Mobile Device you are using to access our Services, and the identity of the Site page or feature you are requesting. We may use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer our Services, track your movement within the Site or Mobile Apps, and gather broad demographic data for aggregate use. We may also use technologies, such as location based information, to provide you with tailored information and features as you use our Services.
When you access Mobile Apps on your Mobile Device, WonderWe may obtain information from your Mobile Provider about the type of Mobile Device you are using. We may use this information to notify you of features and products that may be available on your Mobile Device. Certain features of the Mobile Apps may require our collection of the phone number from your Mobile Device. We may link that phone number to the Mobile Device identification information. Some Mobile Providers use technology that tracks the physical location of Mobile Devices using their service. Depending on your Mobile Provider, we may automatically receive this information. You agree that we may use and store this information to provide location-based services, including location-targeted advertising. You may choose to turn off your Mobile Device location data collection within your Mobile Device’s Location Services settings. However, this may disable our features that use this data.
We may also use "web beacons", also known as "single–pixel" or "clear" GIFs. Web beacons allow ad networks to provide anonymized, aggregated auditing, research and reporting for us and for advertisers. Web beacons also enable ad networks to serve targeted advertisements to you when you visit other websites. Because your web browser must request these advertisements and web beacons from the ad network’s servers, these companies can view, edit, or set their own cookies, just as if you had requested a web page from their site.
How We Use Information
We may use and share non-personal information – that is, de-identified information that cannot be used to identify you - for any lawful business purpose without any obligation or accounting to you. For example, we can use non-personal information for developing products, services, and providing those offerings to other users and third parties. We may use your personal information to generate non-personal information. When we do so, we will take reasonable measures to ensure that the non-personal information is no longer personally identifiable and cannot later be used to identify you.
Disclosure of Information
When We Share Your Personal Information
WonderWe may make available to Charities reports identifying, where available, your name, address, email, and Donation transaction accounting details.
We employ other companies and people to perform tasks on our behalf and need to share your information with them to provide products or services to you, for example those who assist us with credit card billing, survey administration, technical or customer support, shipping, and email and data analytics. Unless we tell you differently, they do not have any right to use the personal information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us.
WonderWe may disclose personal information at the request of law enforcement or government agencies or in response to subpoenas, court orders or other legal process, to establish, protect or exercise WonderWe’s legal or other rights or to defend against a legal claim or as otherwise required or allowed by law. We may disclose personal information in order to protect the rights, property or safety of a user or any other person. WonderWe may disclose personal information to investigate or prevent a violation by you of any contractual or other relationship with WonderWe or your illegal or harmful activity. WonderWe may also disclose non-personal, aggregate, anonymous data in a de-identified format based on information collected from users to investors and potential partners. Finally, WonderWe may disclose or transfer your personal information in a sale or potential sale of our assets or business, or a merger, consolidation or other reorganization of our business.
We also may allow advertisers ("Advertisers") to choose the users who will see their advertisements or promotional offers. You agree that we may provide any non-personal information we have collected from you to an Advertiser, so that Advertiser may select the appropriate audience for advertisements or offers. For example, we might use the fact you are located in San Francisco to show you ads for San Francisco businesses or information regarding San Francisco charities, but we will not tell such businesses or charities who you are.
In addition, if you have not opted out of our targeted advertising, you agree that we may share your personal information with Advertisers in order to deliver specific targeted advertising or offers to you ("Targeted Advertising"). For example, we might share with our Advertisers the fact that you have donated to a charity that protects animals in order to show you ads or offers for local pet store services. If we enable Targeted Advertising for our users by default, you will be able to opt out of Targeted Advertising at any time by changing your personal settings. You may see certain ads on other websites because we participate in advertising networks administered by third parties. These networks track your online activities over time by collecting information through automated means, including through the use of the automated technologies described above, and they use this information to show you advertisements that are tailored to your individual interests. The information they collect includes information about your visits to our Site and Mobile Apps, such as the pages you have viewed. This collection may take place both on our Site and Mobile Apps, and on third-party websites that participate in the relevant ad network, such as websites that feature advertisements delivered by the ad network. If you want to prevent third parties from delivering tailored advertising, visit the Network Advertising Initiative Consumer Opt-Out Page, and the Digital Advertising Alliance Opt-out Page.
Protection of Your Personal Information
It is your responsibility to protect account login credentials, such as your username(s) and password(s), from unauthorized access. You may not share your login credentials with any third party. We recommend you log out after accessing your account, change your password on a periodic basis, and limit access to your computer or device and its browser. Information about users that is maintained on WonderWe’s systems is protected using industry standard security measures. However, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and WonderWe cannot guarantee that the information submitted to, maintained on or transmitted from its systems will be completely secure. WonderWe is not responsible for the circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures relating to our Services by any users or third parties.
Correcting, Updating, Accessing, or Removing Personal Information
